Welcome to DOBiz SmartERP on the EthioBiz platform! This guide will help you get started with your account and the system.

What is DOBiz SmartERP?

DOBiz SmartERP is a cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning system hosted on the EthioBiz platform. It integrates all your business operations into one system:

1. Projects & Tasks — Manage dam instrumentation projects
2. Procurement & Inventory — Purchase materials and track equipment
3. Finance & Accounting — Invoicing, expenses, payments
4. HR & Leave — Employee records, leave requests, timesheets
5. Knowledge Base — Documentation and training materials

System Requirements

1. A modern web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge)
2. Internet connection
3. Your login credentials (provided by your System Admin)

Accessing the System

1. Open your web browser
2. Go to: https://ethiobiz.et
3. You will see the EthioBiz login page
4. Enter your email address (e.g., tsegaye@kistet.com)
5. Enter your password (initial password: Kistet@2026)
6. Click Login

First Login — Must Do

Change Your Password

1. After first login, you will be prompted to change your password
2. Enter your current password
3. Enter your new password (minimum 8 characters, include uppercase, lowercase, and numbers)
4. Confirm your new password
5. Click Set Password

Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (Recommended)

1. Click on your avatar (top-right corner)
2. Go to My Settings
3. Navigate to Security tab
4. Enable Two Factor Authentication
5. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy)
6. Enter the verification code
7. Click Save

Complete Your Profile

1. Click on your avatar (top-right corner)
2. Select My Settings
3. Update your profile information:
4. First Name — Your first name
5. Last Name — Your last name
6. Phone — Your mobile number
7. Profile Image — Upload a profile photo
8. Click Save

Understanding the Dashboard

When you log in, you will see your Dashboard. This is your home screen and contains:

The dashboard shows widgets relevant to your role: - My Open Tasks — Tasks assigned to you - Pending Approvals — Documents awaiting your approval - My Timesheets — Your recent time entries - Recent Documents — Recently viewed records

Navigation

Using the Sidebar Menu

1. The sidebar shows all available modules
2. Click on a module to expand its submenu
3. Common modules include:
4. Projects — Projects, tasks, timesheets
5. Buying — Purchase orders, suppliers, material requests
6. Selling — Sales orders, customers, quotations
7. Stock — Items, warehouses, stock entries
8. Accounting — Invoices, payments, journal entries
9. HR — Employees, leave, expenses
10. Walta — Support tickets, knowledge base articles
11. Dagu — Online courses and training

Using Global Search

1. Click the search bar at the top (or press Ctrl+G)
2. Type what you're looking for (e.g., "Gololcha Dam")
3. Results appear as you type
4. Click on a result to open it

Using the Awesome Bar

Type commands directly in the search bar: - new project — Create a new project - new task — Create a new task - report: followed by report name — Open a report - > followed by any command — Run a command

Logging Out

1. Click your avatar (top-right corner)
2. Select Log Out
3. You will be returned to the login page

1. Knowledge Base: Visit https://ethiobiz.et/support for all documentation
2. Support Tickets: Use Walta > Tickets to raise IT support requests
3. System Admin: Contact hadi@kistet.com for system access issues
